I can't wait to see what my Mimi makes me for Spring. She came for a visit this weekend (and Papa too) and had many fabrics and patterns to choose from. I just need to get a little bigger so that I can wear my new bubble. I don't think it will be much longer . I am so excited for warmer weather to get here!

Spoon feeding

Mary Terrell is now feeding Mary Claire with a spoon for the first time. Eating is hard work these days. She gets so tired sometimes. Tomorrow we are going back to Childrens for a checkup with our GI doctor. I'm sure he will be pleased with her progress. She currently weighs over 12 pounds and is in the 17th %tile of her weight. 24in long and her eyes are still blue-ish. We are not sure if they will change. Sometimes they look sort of green or hazel. Cute either way. This morning she kicked her feet in the tub a little and I realized that bathtime might start getting messy with her splashing.

Mary Claire

Mary Claire is growing so fast. She found her voice and talks constantly. Her favorite thing to do is feel my chin. We like to say that she learned it from her "Pat the Bunny" book.

Mary Claire is doing better now. She has gained a pound in the last week. The doctors at Vandy- Childrens figured out that she needed rice cereal in her formula/milk to thicken it. Now she rarely spits up. And we are sooo happy!

Mary Claire loves to sleep. It is funny to see what Mommy is teaching her. Getting home from work and seeing her coo and talk to me is amazing. Today she is 8 weeks old. She goes to the dr. tomorrow for shots. And to see how much weight she has gained. We are hoping for a big number. Especially since she had issues with her weight. She is a beautiful baby and we love her.

Mary Claire seems to be doing much better now. Her doctor visit went well and she is gaining weight. We love how she is developing and so do the doctors.

Today, Mary Terrell and Mimi took Mary Claire to the doctor for an answer on her acid re-flux problem. She is maintaining her weight, but can't seem to gain any additional weight. Constantly spitting up and changing of her pajamas. Her pediatrician has scheduled us tomorrow for a consultation with a Vanderbilt Children's Hospital g.i. specialist. Next Thursday, we will have a proceedure done to find out what is wrong. They will run a scope down into Mary Claire to have a look. We are glad that the specialist can see us soon. And we feel confident that she will be fine. Please keep Mary Claire and us in your thoughts and prayers.

Mary Claire is gaining weight

At today's doctor visit, Mary Claire gained back all of her weight to 6lb 14oz. She also grew 1 inch longer to 20 inches. Mary Terrell and Mimi were so pleased when they called me at the office. When I got home from work, I noticed how much she is changing. Starting to grow eyebrows and eye lashes, her legs are longer too. We are so fortunate to have such a beautiful baby. She is a joy to be around. Her reflux problem is getting better. Our pediatrician told us she is getting better every day. Keeping her on meds for a little while to make sure she continues in the right direction.

Change 9/17

Today we noticed our baby girl changing a bit. Mary Claire's face is starting to be more defined. And her little body is filling out too. Just 14 days old and we are so in love with her. Going to work makes me miss her during the day. But I am so glad that Mary Terrell can stay home to take care of her. Mimi is doing a great job - round the clock. It is amazing how much laundry a 6 lb child can produce. We all laugh at Mary Claire's smiles and the way her personality is developing.
